What are the minimum and maximum shutter speeds?
Last Updated: 08/22/2011
There are two broad classes of CCD architectures.  "Full Frame" sensors require a mechanical shutter to block light from striking the sensor while the image is being read out.  The even-illumination mechanical shutter in QSI 500/600 Series cameras can take exposures from 0.03 seconds (30ms) to 240 minutes.

"Interline Transfer" sensors have a built-in electronic shutter.  QSI 500/600 Series cameras models with Interline Transfer sensors can take exposures as short as 100 microseconds (0.0001 sec).   With the built-in electronic shutter, models with Interline Transfer sensors are very well suited to applications where a higher frame rate is required.
